Pre-order checklist
Run these checks before treating a Litbuy spreadsheet row as a real option
A spreadsheet can point you in the right direction. It still cannot confirm fit, materials, packaging, or final value for you. Run these checks before treating any row as a real option.
Confirm the item type
If the item is shoes, bags, clothing, accessories, or electronics, compare it with similar items before judging the price.
Check sizing like it will cost you money
Look for measurements, not just S/M/L labels. For shoes, check regional sizing and whether the seller mentions fit variance.
Look for boring photos
Clean, plain detail photos tell you more than dramatic product shots. You want seams, hardware, labels, soles, fabric texture, and real angles.
Read the material and detail notes
Do not rely on the title alone. Fabric weight, finish, hardware, plug type, dimensions, and included parts can change whether the item makes sense.
Think about shipping risk
Large boxes, heavy soles, padded jackets, fragile parts, and electronics can change the final value. A low row price does not always mean a low total cost.
Check compatibility and use case
For electronics, accessories, and fitted items, confirm the item works for your region, device, size, or intended use before it reaches your shortlist.
Write down the reason to buy
If the only reason is price, pause. A stronger reason might be a better size chart, clearer photos, a rare colorway, or a listing with fewer unknowns.
Stop signs
- The title promises one product type, but the photos show something different.
- The row has no useful sizing, dimensions, or compatibility notes for an item that needs them.
- The main photo looks good, but there are no detail shots to confirm finish, texture, or construction.
- The price is much lower than similar rows and nothing in the listing explains why.
After the checklist
If the listing still looks solid, continue to Findsindex's Litbuy page. If you are still deciding what section to use, start with the category map. If several rows still look close, use the comparison guide before opening more tabs.
